The Murakamist in Me

I am going to form opinions on a book I haven't even finished reading . I love it - It's not your ordinary run of the mill junk -- another work filled with so many metaphors you cant stop connecting the dots, going back to the first chapter --- going back and forth through chapters - again and gain connecting the dots. Murakami transforms the reader into a dream world - all the characters in this book are dreaming...... The story is a dream that touches the shores of reality on and off. It is when the dreamers touches base with reality that the ripples are created ... holes in the dream world pours out sardines and mackerels  and leeches and metaphors.... (may be the after effects of the metaphysical world creating a real change in the physical world - the killing of Koichi Tamura) - the Side effects.

The two soldiers I guess one of them was the teacher's husband. The dream she has is when her husband crosses into the nether world ----- He misses her and in her dream is where he meets her may be for the very last time. .... here the author speaks about love ---- the soldier knows he is going to miss her --- never going to see her again and that is why the wife feels it to be such a vivid dream...Dream  impregnation and stuff like that I guess. It's the kid who picks up the after effects of the body that has had a metaphysical experience leading -- here ( I guess the cloth was the entrance stones )to which he too is swallowed into this dream world.

For a month he stays in the dream world everything he knows is sucked into the nothingness of the world or is fragmented into the vastness of the place where abnormal is normal.

The container returns for the mind can no longer be kept silent ..... owing to the curious mind of a kid always wanting to touch base with reality - always wanting to grow up..... Adulthood is stagnation so the soldiers do not return (a choice adults can make to stay or return) where as childhood is growth so Nakata returns....Mind wiped clean...  Owing to the time he spent in the world where anything is possible may be he brings back a gift of talking to Cats.

Miss Saeki also travels to this nether world ...... in her story I could guess at this time she goes back into her past from time to time. But then there are few possibilities ----

She used to do this as a 15 year old and she stops doing it for a time,,,,.... But then this scene recurrs every now and then like a record that is playing non-stop, so there kafka gets the visions.

She is visiting the room as a 15 year old recently as seeing kafka brought back old memories and she wanted to again see him...

She still visits the room as a 15 year old and sees the vision of the now dead boyfriend.

So she enters the dream world at a point in time to return to the past where at a particular time she sees her boyfriend in his room......  again a dream inside a dream as that time space is the past and what the metaphysical 15 year old Saeki is seeing is a yesterday in the life of her boyfriend.

This intersects with reality when Kafa Tamura uses the room --- When the ghost of the girl is explained Tamura says "it seems like she is gazing through him .. beyond him... When his heart beat increases the throb again creates a ripple between the past and the present and the ghost seems disturbed as she knows what she is looking at a vision but something seems different.

I guess then again they are two dream projections fused into one..... two cinema projectors showing a scene --- two lone individuals in those two screens and they are brought together as one single scene they are able to be together but in reality they are in two different realms -- dream projections ---The hear beat is the bridge or the disturbance-- Loved it.

At a point in time --- Nakata removes the entrance stone and she is able to visit as the 50 year old.

. Or is it like she could travel back and forth into the dream world and was trying to give a new meaning to her dreams by visit Kafka as an adult.

The removal of the entrance stone seems important so I guess she lost the ability to do so or renounced it or something so she needs Nakata to do it for her.

" 50 year old miss Saeki would have intended to give the room to Kafa Tamura as he is a living resemblance to the dead boy. Now the head turning begins ... looking into the labyrinth what is inside us is a reflection of what is outside or more like ---- What is outside is a reflection of what is inside us,,,, Our deep seated dreams.

As to how Miss Saeki would know Nakata ----- as they have traveled into the same dream space - one knowingly the other unknowingly - we could also say unwillingly ------ as the child was slapped by the teacher forcing him to feel like he should die there right now -- an embarrassed little boy willing to die ... wanting so badly to disappear that he actually does .. .the other kids also fall down due to the pull of the metaphysical world and since the cloth is not enough a entrance the minds are sucked in first - remembering Professor x and his mind chamber or whatever.

As to how Miss Saeki would know Nakata -----  they would have met each other -- in that space --- could be friends --- may be Nakata was still travelling while he slept for days planning things with miss Saeki ,, executing her plans.

May be she made him kill Koichi Tamura ------- but why??????????????????

I shall read more and find it outttttttt
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is Nakata the container and Kafka the soul ,,, have to check out the time when Nakta goes to coma and Miss Saekis boy friend dies ....

Is Kafkas sub conscious directing Nakata?

Is Nakata and Miss Saeki the same person time travelling - expaling male/male - male/female - female/female?
