Reliving a Favorite Childhood Memory

I loved reading as a child. It opened to me a totally new world. I could read words, literally smell them and taste them. I could leap with joy and also shed a tear I could also be sympathetic as well as sarcastic. I knew characters, I knew people. Books were my friends so full of words for me, always available at the book shelf.

I loved my school library. It was dark with its smell of old powdering books. Library hour was my favourite, I was handed out a book to be returned in a week's time. I was seeing the world through Enid Blyton's and Dicken's and Twain's eyes. Truly magical.

Childrens digest was my favourite magazine. I would get it every month as I had subscribed for it. Like getting to open a treasure every month. I loved those books and the articles written. I still recall some of them and I still have some saved. I am reading them today. Beautiful memories of rainy nights with my favourite book under candle lights...
